Before the event, contact the emergency services for advice and guidance.

Get advice from the emergency services to help you develop the emergency plan:

  • Police
  • Fire Service
  • Ambulance Service
  • HM Coastguard
  • RNLI
  • St John Ambulance
  • Red Cross
  • Utility providers - water, electricity, gas
  • Local General Practitioners
  • Local vets
  • Where sporting events are being held contact the relevant National Governing body of that sport.

There should be first-aid cover throughout the event and the St John Ambulance and/or the Red Cross will be able to advise you. Be aware that there may be some costs involved.

Key Points:

  • Plan for the worst eventuality by getting the best advice and guidance from the emergency services
